Hello all conservative friends who listen to Ed and like this board.
I took myself out a while back after being warned not to talk about race. Before I got banned, I left willingly.
I still read the board, it is a good board and I like reading it.
Well, you know what....I think I was wrong to take myself out. I feel kind of sheepish coming back after declaring my exit--but I feel you will forgive me. I imagine I will get a working over from the rest of the board, but that will probably be very, very entertaining.
I won't post directly about race or respond directly about race. The old Sheriff told me not to, so I won't.
Other than that....I guess I'll be the same opinionated person I was then.
So, see you there. You guys make me proud to be a (neophite) conservative.
I dont understand why these issues cannot be discussed in here, especially after the fiasco at a recent funeral where the Benevolent Bush gave a wonderful, appropriate speech, and then sat while others berated him and his administration, including 2 democrat ex presidents who have no class whatsoever. I have never seen a republican ex president make quips about sitting democrat presidents, especially when it was definitely called for after some dalliances in the oval office and then some lies in front of a Grand Jury about it. Even then the ex president Bush was asked many times, he would not publicly critisize his successor.
Why can these issues not be discussed at all, as long as they are clean and respectful. It's a shame since it's one of the biggest non-issues used by the left. I am just wondering is all Mr. Sheriff. If I am out of line, please let me know
