Aint that a fact, Mr. Kelly! And I was just going to make the usual spinach dip and stuffed mushrooms.....
This sounds absolutely delicious, Pokey! Thanks for the recipe - although, is it all right to cut out the jalapenos? Would it spoil the taste? Sometimes they don't rest too easily in my system.
Please let me know.... And, btw: I love Mr. Kelly's addition. Brownies, anyone? laugh.gif Sallie

the dip will taste just as good w/o the jalopenos, sometime medium or hot pace make up for the hot taste, I recomend mild Pace, to tone down the spiciness.
DakotaDawn
diced green chiles would make a nice warm addition w/out the jalapenos!

And it has to be Pace Picante? Guess I can't use the one made by that sissy from New York, eh? laugh.gif
I am definitely going to try this. I'll let you know how it went over with our Super Bowl bunch. BTW: This bunch would eat wallpaper with picante sauce! laugh.gif Sallie

Oh man, this sounds too good. My wife is bringing me a home-made pizza to work at halftime in order to lighten my day. Unfortunately I will be working a 16 hour shift tomorrow, but will be thinking about all of you partying on.

What the heck?! No seniority, aleman? Can't you just go out to run an errand for about 4 hours? laugh.gif
I'll be thinking of you as the Seahawks hold possession for 3/4 of the game and win!!!!
Love you,
Sallie

Seniority has its price, and I have paid it many times over! That's ok; all my Ops know that payback will be a mother when I leave the country for three weeks come May-June. I will exact my payback with interest then.

Love it, MrKelly! Too funny! laugh.gif laugh.gif

I can eat jalapenos, but for those who cant and still want the flavor, just put a few drops of the juice in and that will do the trick. smile.gif

After making the dip, do not forget to do as I do every Super Bowl since King George took over --ROOT FOR THE PRETZELS! Now if I can just figure out a way to get rid of Shooter without anyone coming up with any questions....

Just make sure you do it on a private ranch, one a hunting trip, with an attorney in the party and you should be okay! Let me know when you set it up and I will notify the local sherrif that his services won't be required that afternoon and he can spend the time with his family.

try this one:

1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
8oz shredded asiago cheese
8oz shredded sharp cheddar
1 can (packed in water or brine, not oil) or frozen box of plain artichoke hearts, cut into bite sized pieces

Mix and heat until bubbly and serve with tortilla chips or cubes of good bread and BEER!

It's a total fat bomb, but so worth it.

You got my attention with the beer! What Super Bowl party is complete without it?

This recipe sounds good. Would it be allowable to throw in some diced olives as well?

Why not? We've thrown in sun dried tomatoes once in a while ourselves.

Warning, this dip smells, um, strongly of asiago. Around my house, it is affectionaltely known as "a** cheese dip." Don't let that turn you off. It tastes sooo gooood !

No problem there! I love strong cheeses and am not put off at all by asiago. That's why I though olives might be a welcome addition. I also like the idea of sun dried tomatoes with this. Looks like a winner. Now point me toward the grocery store!
