I just wanted to send a note to thank all the Righties for being good sports on the separate sub-forums. As far as I can tell, none of the respected righties have gone to the Progressive Only forum. Sure, there have been a few incidents, but they were mainly from new folks, or trolls. They have been taken care of.

I rarely agree with you, but you've composed yourself well ... so far!

Now for my lefty friends. Please refrain from posting in this little section of the board. If we are to keep the Progressive Only forum free of righties, we must respect this space. If you see something you don't like on the Righty Forum (lefties can read the threads here, just not post), let me know. Also, you can start a thread in the General section to answer their question, etc ... or I might pull the topic from the Conservative Only forum for a General topic.

While not a perfect solution, this seems to working so far. Lets keep it up.

Cheers!

The board mods have a tough job. All I look for is fairnss from the mods in their application of the rules.

But, I think that any topic put in either the R or L area is left alone. That's why "we" put the topic in those two areas. The mods should not move a topic based on their opinion of the subject matter for either side into the general area. Why have the seperate play rooms.

It's up to the other side to decide whether to start a thread in the General section to answer or dispute their question or claim.

Your point is taken. I would move it only if there was a thread attacking a member ... who is then unable to defend themselves. We'll see if that occurs. But for the most part, I agree with you.

Hats off to you, Sheriff, for actually functioning as a moderator and doing such a good job at being objective and fair. I know of one anti-Bush board in particular where the moderators flame conservative posters and then edit other people's posts and/or ban them for putting up a fight. Control freaks like that have no business opining and whining about the "corporate controlled media."

Actually, the whole thing worked out much better than I anticipated. I think that speaks volumes for the board in general. I could never see this sort of civility on say 'ol Randy "my company won't pay for me to fly down to see Cindy" Rhodes.
