I really believe that. Now let me say that by fail, I do not mean the loss of any more US soldiers. I really think that they do care about the lives of the US soldiers, although I also believe that all their talk about "withdraw now" crap has a negative affect on the troops. I think the primary reason they want us to fail is so they can once again, blame Bush. They typically downplay any good news, any progress, and only highlight the bad stuff. Senator Joe comes back and says he's seen progress and they dismiss it and attack him. I truly believe that at some point, when the US does withdraw and it is apparent that we were successfull the Liberals will no longer be able to say that we failed. At that point their chorus will become: Yeah, it's alot better over there, but it was not worth losing XX amount of US soldiers lives. Watch for it to happen. Hell, NEM is already halfway there, he's got the it wasn't worth it part down pat.
Bill Clinton loaths the military, Kerry testified that our soldiers acted worse than Ghengis Kahn, Dick Durban compared our troops in Gitmo to Nazis, Gulags and Pol Pot regime, and liberal colleges won't allow military recruiting! Why would anyone believe that liberals appreciate the men and women of the armed forces. They would like nothing better than for them fail. They loath the military and our status as lone super power. It would be best for the world if we fail.
