Howard Kurtz defends Fox. I used to think Kurtz was an actual journalist. Not anymore.

Boatload of crazy responds:

Maybe she was scared off by Beck's zombies

They aren't going to be happy if Beck tells them he has never been right.

Beck goes from ridiculous to certifiably 5150. He triangulates book burning, The Constitution, communists into a rant after anyone dare criticize him. Boy, his head shrinker must be making a mint off of him, clearing their schedule in the event Beck comes in for a crash landing.

Good for Jane Hall. I really think a lot of her. I used to watch one, very good, Faux show, that she was on. It was a Media Watch sort of thing. It was the one and only truly fair and balanced thing on Fox, but it hasn't existed for 3 years, or more.

I seldom watch Howard Kurtz any more, he's a bit of a Jerry Springer wannabe with a solid measure of bias towards the right wing fringe.

I hadn't noticed that about Kurtz before last Sunday. I enjoyed his show since he'd have to rehash big news stories from the week before. His panels were loaded with righties but he didn't seem to egg them on or ever take sides. He clearly took sides on the story of Obama going after Fox. Fox is biased and Kurtz defended their news division as unbiased. He's lost all credibility with me.

He and his show lost all credibility with me about a year or two ago. His show is always heavily biased, and he regularly lets it get "this" short of a food fight. He's not worth it, anymore.

CNN comes to FOX's defense:

Meanwhile, Fox received support Wednesday from an unlikely source: CNN's prime-time host Campbell Brown. She interviewed Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett and asked whether the White House considered left-leaning MSNBC biased as well. Jarrett wouldn't speak about the network.

She "seems loathe to admit that MSNBC has a bias," Brown said. "And that is where I think the White House loses all credibility on this issue."

If the White House wants to talk about bias in the media, officials "should elevate the conversation and talk about bias on the right and on the left," Brown said. "Because when you just target one side, you reveal your own bias — that you are only critical of those who are critical of you."

Credit also to Shep for making his apology to his viewers for not being able to get Corzine on, even though Corzine was "unavailable."
