I came across the code of ethics for the Society of Professional Journalists just now.

Some of the things included in the code are;

QUOTE
Test the accuracy of information from all sources and exercise care to avoid inadvertent error. Deliberate distortion is never permissible.

QUOTE
Avoid misleading re-enactments or staged news events. If re-enactment is necessary to tell a story, label it.

QUOTE
Show good taste. Avoid pandering to lurid curiosity.

QUOTE
Admit mistakes and correct them promptly.

Gee, I wonder how many times just these items have been violated by Bill-O-the-Clown, his stalker producer, and other Faux News talking heads? Probably on a daily basis if you count the whole of Faux News and Murdoch's other rags (excuse me, I meant news outlets).

I think it would be easier to count the number of times they followed them. biggrin.gif

Good point!

A small observation. I believe one would have to be a paying member of an organization before they can be accused of violating the "rules" and/or "ethics" of said organization.

You know....a minor point but hey....run with it....enjoy the stroll.
