This cartoon shows a small crowd of feeble elderly expressing concerns about health care, and a donkey on the stage (Democrat) saying "this mob is out of control."

Most cartoons have at least a modicum of truth, even if they stretch it. This cartoon turns truth on it's head.

With this cartoon, Lisa is trying to cover for what has actually been happening on the ground -- that these town hall meetings have been overrun by often young and thuggish crowds, crowds who do _nothing_ to further the discussion. They shout their questions, do not wait for answers, will not allow others to talk. They have often been physically threatening as well as verbally abusive and intimidating, and a lot of death threats, sick "hangings" in effigy and sleezy, low-life congressmen, like Akins of Missouri, have even referred to "lynching." They are ugly, and the fact that they are often underwritten by monied corporate interests is what will take this poor country into fascism, if people like these are allowed to hijack democracy.

My hope is some day that "Lisa" will face crowds like that, over and over again. Lisa, of the Washington Post, shameful perpetrator of a Big Lie.
