Sometimes you have to wonder if he shouldn't be on MSNBC...

he might have pissed off the brass at fox.they probably will have to turn over their audience's hate e-mails.
without the hate e-mails hannity won't know what talking points to repeat 1000 times
smith might be looking for a job soon.

LOL that's what I'm thinking. This isn't the first time he's gone against the grain, maybe he's their token liberal...

Shepard Smith is one of the very few Fox News personalities that I actually like.
NO U
I read this somewhere, and I don't know if it's true, but they employ him precisely because he's not a far right whackjob idealogue. I guess they think if they employ a token rational human being people will be fooled into thinking Faux isn't a far right echo chamber.

He hits on something that is very troublesome. The amount of vitriol that is being spread on the web for the most part but it seems to be transcending the web into reality. Character assignations, smear campaigns, and general hatred seems to be on the rise.

I wonder why the right wing doesn't push Shepard Smith, or people like him more into the spotlight. He is rational, intelligent and good looking, and I think he would be more persuasive to those who are not die hard republicans. I'm fairly liberal, and I enjoy him, so if they want to attract those middle of the road non-partisian voters I would think that Shep and people similar to him would be the way to go. I mean, if you are not completely insane, who makes more sense? Shepard Smith or Rush's painkiller hazed rantings?

Limbaugh; thats why wink.gif

UPDATE 6/11: Rush Limbaugh responded to Fox News' Shepard Smith's expression of concern over increasing anger from viewers since the election of President Barack Obama.

Limbaugh played the clip, referenced liberal anger at President George W. Bush and said, "For liberals to claim that the atmosphere is somehow more violently anti-Obama is simply preposterous." He mocked Shep Smith for "whining and moaning and complaining about emails" and said he got plenty of angry emails himself, including some calling him a "Jew-lover." "Shep," he said, "you got nothing on anybody out there."

blink.gif Because he actually got a big fat contract. He puts the rest of the derelicts on that network to shame, and Shep isn't afraid or intimidated to say how he feels about any issue.
