I don't know if it is just a rumor, but I've heard that Sen Thune has been having a long time affair with a local TV anchor woman. (Don't know if I should say her name)

This is the senator who defeated Daschle this past year. From what I was told, Daschle even knew about the affair and told the people on his staff that they would be fired if it was leaked out. Daschle had too much integrity (or because he doesn't have a perfect track record when it comes to faithfullness?).

This is why Thune's wife and kids are not with him in Washington, they remain in Sioux Falls. The rumor even states that the Republican Party paid Mrs. Thune to stay with him during the election because she was preparing to leave him.

I don't know, but it will be interesting to see what Mrs. Thune does in the future. Is divorse court in the future??

I actually have a lot of faith in the source I heard it from. They used to work for the state government, and still has many connections.

Where did you first hear about this? Being that I'm in the Sioux Falls sphere of influence (well the Fargo and Minneapolis ones too, hence the "tri-state" reference in my name) I'm surprised I hadn't heard about this until now. Where did you first hear about it from?

I have a relative who used to work for the state and the still lives in Pierre. I don't know how long they knew about it, that's a question I'll have to ask. It was just shared with me the other day. It's really been on my mind. I really want it investigated.

Like I said, it could be just a rumor, but as many details that were shared about it, I tend to think there's some truth there.

I wonder if his other long-term mistress knows about this one. He's been fooling around with a former campaign worker who now holds a position with the GOP in Washington.
