Full Version: Palin: "Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you more lies."

The Republicans are putting up a person so utterly unqualified that they won't allow her to be questioned by ordinary reporters in real time.

This is a two-fer for the McCain campaign. It allows Palin to continue to tell lies in front of safe crowds, continue her attack-dog routine, while at the same time allows them to disguise how utterly unprepared and incapable she is. If she can't function among a group of questioners, she cannot function on a world stage.

What do we have to look forward to?

My Dad used to say that a gun is a great equalizer. He also said, that that was the one big reason that a gun can be used too carelessly and too easily by weak beings.

If Palin can't take questions from ordinary citizens or reporters, how will she be able to face Putin or some disagreeable lesser leader?

If she can't talk, if she doesn't want to be questioned, just like George Bush, will she instead lightly and easily threaten the use of America's military?

The song "That was the night when the lights went out in Georgia," contains a line that I always understood to be: "a metal no-answer man, made in the form of a gun."

A gun is a "metal no-answer man." It's a nice feeling for weak people who don't want to be questioned. If you can't answer "man," then you turn to your gun, or your fist, as the first resort.

If you don't want to be questioned, if you will not tolerate disagreement, you will not participate in diplomacy, you will turn to your military as a first resort.

We are in great danger as a nation already, having been put there by a weak character as president, and an evil vice president. We are danger still, even much greater, if McCain-Palin get elected.

Excellent post.

I would also add that people who are cemented in their beliefs no matter what the facts are, are threatened when questioned. When threatened, violence is the only answer. They aren't interested in learning, they're only interested in getting their way.

It doesn't matter that they may have lots of college degrees either. It's like a prison gang who have no regard for the rights of others, take advantage of vulnerable people, break the law, engage in unethical and immoral behavior, for status and financial gain. When confronted, they answer with a line of bull. They have an agenda. It doesn't matter what the facts are. They are going to carry out their agenda and screw everyone else.

aplaud.gif Wow. EXCELLENT post. Your father was wise and his daughter is too. I believe you have uncovered an important factor in Bush's aggressive, militant foreign policy and I believe Sarah Palin is very, very similar to Bush in many ways... ohmy.gif

"Kill him."

Palin allowed those two chilling words to remain out there, uncorrected, at one of her rallies.

There are two things you can say about that: either Palin didn't have the wits or the courage to confront the thug fan in her midst, or she liked it.

McCain put this country in great moral and physical jeopardy by picking Palin.

Maybe they think they're in a kill-or-be-killed situation. Their backs are against the wall, the same wall the writing's on. They don't seem able to convince the rest of the country that Barack Obama is a secret Muslim, a terrorist, or just plain black (and therefore up to no good). They're running out of time and nobody will listen to them. It's up to them to save the nation from the horror that is the aspect of a President Obama. What to do? Kill him! String him up! Cut his head off! Just put a stop to this horrible nightmare!!!!
Do you suppose? sad.gif
