Don't know where to post this thread. Part of me feels that this is an election issue, but since it is a movie I will post it here in media.

I was greeted with a copy of this movie in the mail today. It was addressed to me, in my full formal name, which I never use. I have used my nickname my entire life and only use my full formal name when I have no choice. No rhyme or reason for my choice but it is the way I have done it my whole life.

So on what mailing list do I belong? I would find it hard to believe that I am the target audience for this film.

As I have not donated any money to the Clarion Fund, I am a registered Democrat, I am curious as to how and why this movie was sent to me.

Has anyone else received this film in the mail?

I've been doing a search for the Clarion Fund. There's a scholarship fund for science fiction writers, there's an investment group and a real estate group. I went to the website in your link and it's pretty scary! Oh! There was a hint on the home page (on the right) where it says: Send a letter and there was a copy of a note saying, "Editor, Thank you for putting a copy of this film in my newspaper...."
Do you subscribe to a newspaper that might be complicit in disseminating this stuff?

Weekend subscriber to the Cincinnati Enq. but they don't have my full formal name, just my nickname on the billing. All of my subscriptions past and present are in my nickname. I believe that I used my full formal on my voter registration. So would a registered Dem in a Republican stronghold be a target for this movie? Some how I doubt it. 80% here vote Republican, my one vote will not change an election here.

I do not formally belong ot a church here, and even then I use my nickname. It is a weirdness that has me puzzled.
