Full Version: Does Rush Limbaugh count?

Rush has a devoted radio audience of about 15 million potential voters. He hammers Obama with relentless passionate and intense vitriol on a daily basis. Between now and election day can Limbaugh generate enough votes for McCain, or more accurately against Obama, to significantly affect the outcome? What say you?

I think the people who listen Rush are going to vote for the Republican no matter how bad or corrupt they may be.

Limpbaugh losers are already accounted for--they are hard core right wing fruitloops--I do not see any bump for McSame as they are already in the mix.

I don't know if I would go that far, but unfortunately a lot of people on both sides take talk radio for way more than what it is- entertainment. People seem to forget that it's just one guy or lady just spouting their opinions for a couple hours a day. Are some talk radio hosts more truthful/genuine than others when it comes to discussing factual content? Absolutely. Even though it isn't journalism, it seemingly has a huge impact on voters. You can hear it when people call in.

How the hell would I know? I don't listen to Rush Limbaugh, or Sean Hannity, or that fruitcake Dr. Laura. They may have as many as 15 million faithful listeners, but if these people were not already firmly entrenched in the RW mindset, they wouldn't be listeners.
Do I think they'll make a difference? About the same difference they've made before - if they can afford gas and the truck doesn't break down before they can get to the polls....

If you accept the theory that Sarah Palin is Rush's creation, then I think we have reason to be quite grateful to Rush. Not certain, but convinced.
