Unless you have proof, we shouldn't go there. Let's don't become what we behold, okay? Let's not post unsupportable smears.

blink.gif Where did you hear that, Denny? Given the oxymoronic nature of this family I would not be so surprised if it were the case. mellow.gif

Deployment Details Put Sarah Palin's Son in Jeopardy

Back in February, the British press ripped Matt Drudge for revealing a secret they'd been keeping: Prince Harry was stationed in Afghanistan, deployed with the British Army in Helmand Province. The secret had gotten out in an obscure Australian magazine and German's Bild newspaper, and Drudge passed the news along to his audience of millions. Brits were so outraged that they mistakenly started sending me a flood of hate mail.

Given this, it's worth noting that the British press is now putting another high-profile soldier in danger by reporting details of his service in a war zone. Two major British newspapers have reported where Track Palin, the son of Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, will be serving when he's deployed to Iraq.

..........The Daily Mail also told its readers that Palin will train in Kuwait and serve in Diyala.

I'd omit these details if the stories weren't already widely reprinted all over the web and in news syndication, showing up on places like Yahoo News and Lucianne.Com. Jon Soltz, an Army captain previously stationed in Iraq, writes that revealing specific details of a soldier's deployment, such as dates and locations, is a violation of operational security:

.......If the McCain-Palin campaign has disclosed details about Track's company's movements to gain stories in the press about it, they will have put many American lives in danger -- not the least of which would be Track's.

mad.gif dry.gif laugh.gif No, none of the above. I have a customer that has a REPUBLICAN friend that lives in Alaska. He was talking to him in my presence yesterday, and told me about the conversation after he hung up. The REPUBLICAN's wife was voted Alaskan REPUBLICAN woman of the year a few years back, and has been ''in distress since the Palin announcement, because of the reputation the Palin family has in Alaska''. She hasn't been able to sleep since then. These two Alaskan REPUBLICANS believe that Palin is the worst pick for VP, but will still vote for McCain because they just can't vote for a democrat. I don't know about you, but when a REPUBLICAN is in distress about the Palin pick, that's good enough for me. The fact that a radio station is also reporting it, gives it just a little more credibility.
Denny13
You have to realize that politicians, mostly republicans, will tell only the part of a story that makes ''them'' look good and omits the rest. What kind of a story, would the truth have been, other than a dysfunctional family. You know like McCain's first family.

Will have to check that out.

Could be a hoot when Ed gets there for his show next week.
We hear it as though everyone is all happy with the gov... but the radio stations up there don't say so.

I hope he can get that ex-brother-in-law on!

Statutory rape = sex with a minor, even if it's consentual. That's how all these female school teachers are being sent to prison for having sex with their teenaged students, etc.

I think that the poster might be suggesting that the boy may have had sex with his underage girlfriend, and got caught and/or impregnated her.

I'm not saying he did this. Just a possible scenario.

Ex: He's 18/girlfriend is 16. Happens all the time in hick towns like Wasilla.

Sounds like more fear to me. The GOP seems to love the Palin pick. The only ones that dont like it is the left.

But keep making up crap, it is all you have.

You seem to have mixed up your story a little.

Yes, the son of a VP candidate could go to jail, but it is not Palins son, it is Bidens son.

Your article doesn't seem to say anything about criminal charges being brought or even mention of an on going criminal investigation.

Can you link to one?

I guess when you are too lazy to question crazy comments posted by lefties, you are also too lazy to google real charges against your candidates son.,

I am also happy that your man obama is so agaisnt lobbiest, but he added Biden to his team, the lobby family.

"Hunter Biden was made president with an annual salary of $1.2 million, despite his inexperience in the hedge fund industry, the lawsuit said. Before that, he had been part of the Washington law firm Oldaker, Biden & Belair, which earned $1.76 million in lobbying revenue"

Excuse me sir, the lazyness was yours. You said jail, the article you linked did not mention criminal charges.

Dealbook links to the Wapo article and does not mention criminal charges or investigation.

And your second link points back to the original article, which also does not mention criminal charges.

So you support the lack of facts with a link that lacks the facts that you support. Brilliant.

If you want to change your argument to Biden's son being lobbyist, I would recommend that you start new thread.

Even if this is true, which at this point is just rumor, what does making a choice between going into the military or going to jail have to do with him not being a patriot? Not all military personal are patriots and not all inmates are not patriots. Where you are at has nothing to do with patriotism. It's what you do with where your at.

You guys are always badgering the right for bringing up rumors about Barak and here you are doing the same thing. Stick to the facts the way you want us to. I remember a famous news guy who was fired for going with an unproven story about Bush's military record that proved false. Granted this is a place to come to talk, but why post rumors? There is plenty to talk about that has proof.

I think the point is to undercut the use by the McSAME campaign of his "joining the army" as a show of patriotism and support for Bush's illegal war, when it may really have been a "lesser of two evils" type choice for him...

This is unfounded and disgusting.

dry.gif mad.gif blink.gif rolleyes.gif Ok, you want to deal in facts. Trooper Gate. ''I told them no thanks to the bridge to nowhere'' and kept the money. Ultra conservative who was glad that her daughter had a choice, but doesn't want anyone else to have one. That she fought the system and lobbyists. She hired them to get her earmarks. How about book banning at Wasilla library. Why has no one questioned her about the radical church that she belongs to. And people have just started to search. When they dig, what will they find. I could tell more, but it's just hearsay. Anyway, this move by mcbu$h will secure his ''base'', but anybody else who was ''unsure'' should be good by now.
