I didn't know he was unwell. His is one of the voices that I can never forget; I grew up watching the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. I can never forget his coverage of the murders of the Israeli olympic team in 1972.
I found this clip on YouTube that shows a bit of Wide World of Sports from 1984 - including the world famous wipe out by Vinko Bogataj that became known as "the agony of defeat."
