zatoichi
I am a prolific poster on the Randi Rhodes Message Board and most currently posting a lot on Democratic Warrior.

I have listened to Ed and have liked his show for some time.

I am an activist who currently lives in Hawaii and have been that way most of my life.

My family has been in politics as long as I can remember and I have always been a liberal Democrat.

I am happy to be here and I am interested in other people's take. That means righties too. As long as they do not come off like they are reading some talking point from Rove and company.

Welcome from Chicagoland.

Happy to hear from lefties here, too, just as long they don't come off like they're reading some talking point from Randi and company. smile.gif

Hey, cool. Welcome aboard. I'm the Doctor; I made an appearance or two on Randi's board myself last year. Here we kind of tolerate the righties (provided they're good) but we gleefully shred their talking points and/or half-baked conclusions. I hail from the land of Lincoln, a northwestern suburb of Chicago. Don't diss Chicago or I'll have to come after you! That aside, dive right in!

Welcome again.

Quite frankly Randi's tone is starting to wear me down. I am listening to Ed today via streaming audio as Mike Malloy is subbing for Randi. I do not mind Mike except that I can only take in smaller doses. And Randi is not as compelling for me compared with Ed.

Welcome aboard!

We have another poster around here that also hails from HI.

Just curious, do you know what happened in the Akaka/Pace primary? I haven't heard anything in a while on that.

Cheers,

This is really great! We do have another poster from your state - also a Dem Lib - who graciously played host to another poster from the opposite side of the aisle last year. I'm sure you'll be hearing from both.
I'm a native New York Dem who has chosen to live in Texas, where not everybody loves GWB!
Welcome to the board. I've just returned to full form after a month back up north, so I hope to hear a lot more from you.

My view is that the antics of Rhodes and Malloy lock in a certain listening demographic very tightly, but completely offend the sensibilities of a much, much larger audience who cannot bear to listen to them for even a minute. Obviously AAR management doesn't get it, as they recently extended both their contracts.

Welcome! I know what you mean about Randi, I don't like her W impression. She seems to have mellowed out on that lately.

Welcome, Welcome..... Talking points are not accepted as intellectual currency here, and we appreciate the thoughts of the many who come here for legimate purposes of idea exchange.... We are all in this boat together, whether the righties know it or not....

Hey welcome Ichi Zota!
I hope you find this board a bit more focused on issues and discussion than Randi's board No offense toward Randi because beyond her rants I think she is very knowledgeable, honest and passionate.
I've read a number of your posts on the RRSMB.
You'll find many Todoza and ronin to assist you against the clans and bosses.

Howdy from Massachusetts,

We love Randy and Ed here,

Personally I Probably post more at Randy's because for some reason I don't feel I have to clean up my spelling and English as much. Spread the word and post at both.

I'm having Kid's way to late and totally wondered by them. And feeling like a activist of the 1970's but with very little of the gentile young man not so quick to question authority. Now I not only no right from wrong I believe in Good over Evil and will continue to work at blogs and the daily persuts in a way to be a better citizen for the whole of the country and the world.

Below see a slightly cleaned up post from Randy's sit only a moment ago. It goes to a very strong focus of mine the persuit of energy independence as a means to reclaim a sound family style of life with time for rest, learning, culture, some real meals, less worry about health care, and stability of the economic structure.

All the Best, Be Well, Be Strong, and Have Some Fun.

Post as Follows:

December 2, 2006

Tom J. Flaherty’s, response to an online blog about flux energy from the natural curved space vacuum with a solid state/magnetic device that has no moving parts and is said to be in the U.S. Patent office for review.

As follows:
Yes, devalue Oil and Gas, simultaneously stimulating the right green, renewable.

However, don't give up on free electrical sources of the natural source. After all that’s what everything is. There are about seven forms of corrosion something is in change/happening all the time weather it be wind, water, Planets, or my stomach. The superconductors have been built to conduct without loss. It is not easy to turn a hundred years of infrastructure on its ear. New methods initial coat are high and maintenance concerns deter. If The wires worry investors then distribute the grid. By that it is meant to bring the power plants to the source. Examples would be wind mills in town not tidal in Canada even though I like Canadian power better than Middle East oil. Moving on I think that that little magnet that levitates and spins really does have something going for itself. Long ago when I was a kid Popular Science published articles and of ad's about rotary magnetic cars or generators. About 1980 ish The Providence Journal did an article about a guy that made a big slow moving monster of a rotating magnetic machine. The U.S. Patent office would not patent it saying that they do not patent devices that are based on natural forces. Anyway in asking around people have told me magnets are like springs that have to be compressed to make them do work and then they are done. In other words they say the magnets ware out. This must be true our nukes even go spent. Gee I bet there is some heavy duty corrosion of multiple type in that area. Opps sorry for the tangent.

now what interreges me is if that guy could get his mages going around as the guy before in popular Science. Why can't we see how long some of these super duper conducting units will last with negligible resistance to wear out the mages. Further let's crank them up to turbine speed. Electrical forces become stronger if I remember correctly as a square to the gap at least as stored in a capacitor. So if a cap the size of a coke can had 20,000 uf of energy a reduction of the tolerance between the plates by 50% would not only reduce the size by around half but it would increase the stored energy to the square function or 20.000 times 20.000 = 400,000,000 units of energy. A lot can be said for building a much tighter unit. and then consider speed. E=MC squared right. Saying that if you double the mass you double the mass, but again if you double the velocity you get the square function benefit again. So if it is turning at 60 cycles at 1k watts and know you crank it up to turbine speed WOW. Something the Size of a boom box might power your car and your house and shut down the polluting power plants.

Pipe dream maybe but somebody should do some proto types and print the data. And yes if you aren't putting in energy and it's going around then it is producing more energy than it consumes by conventional Physics.

By the way does anyone know which compounds runs the best yet at the highest temps and if you build a distributed network with less line loss of course, only cooling the generators would be more efficient again. To this stuff my mind will stay open until I'm a free man able to run with it myself or someone else finally gets it done. Does it not look a lot better than dumping ton's into counter productive control schemes to handle fusion produced energy? No Million year half life’s to deal with either as with the nukes of last resort.

If the best effort runs down due to the cooling system draw maybe we can get them going on the cold planets and transfer the energy another way.

Don't give up and worse yet don't let nay Sayers discourage you so they can continue with there vested oil nightmare.

All the best, Be Well, Be Strong, and Have Some Fun

For heavens sake, don't you have spell check? I use my spell check just so people can't tell if I've had a little champagne! laugh.gif I also have a dictionary right next to me that I check frequently. Even if spelling is not correct, grammar is not correct, sentence structure sucks, blog away!

Yes, I have and I've got that dictionary right next to me, but I'm getting old, pressure is very high as I run my own little biz, my wife doesn't drive, and in adition to having a one, three, and five year old, I'm behind in book keeping and so on.

Further if you were to go over to Randy Rhodes board and find my first 12 to 15 post were I just replied to myself to get the posting privlige you might find it allmost comedic how I recalled childhood and the mental block that developed from the Notra Dame nun's making me write a hundred times a night for about three years "I will not talk in class" and then the first spelling bee with the girls on one side of the room and the boy's the other side. Why after only one round two boy's of which I was one were allready sitting down. Spelling became tense not fluid.

Anyway my general confidence remained well and Blog on.

It's kind of like penmenship. It was great until college but with time and pressure it went to hell. Thank goodness I took typing. that seems to get a little better as time and practice go forward.
