I heard BigEddie talking to Harry Reid today. They were discussing the Middle East issues, in particular the current conflict between Israel and Lebanon. BigEddie kept lobbing softballs and Reid kept smacking them.
At one point Reid said that Israel was the only democracy in the ME and BigEddie let him get away with it without ever mentioning that the Palestinians elected Hamas, and then Israel kidnapped half of their Parliment and is still holding them indefinately.
What is it about conflicts in the ME that the truth is ignored and even forbidden?

They are the only democracy in the Middle East! The vast majority of countries on the Arabian peninsula are Monarchies.
Turkey is not part of the Arabian Peninsula, and Egypt is in Africa...only kind of sorta in the Middle East.
Nowhere else...Oman, Jordan, Qatar, Yemen, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Syria isn't either. Iraq is barely a democracy. And Lebanon's just barely started.
