Hello,

I'm a long-haul trucker who enjoys listening to Ed Schultz on XM Satellite Radio, and have been since his show came on XM over 2 years ago. I live in San Antonio, Texas and have been a long-haul trucker for almost 11 years. I'm also a column writer for a major trucking magazine.

I primarily vote Democrat for many reasons, although I'm not by any means a "liberal". My own opinions & actions would show me to be more "slightly left of center" than an extreme leftie. I'm more of an "issues voter" who will often vote for whatever party represents my best interests.

I'm a Native American who is proud of my heritage, and I love camping & saltwater fishing. I'm also into muscle cars & drag racing, and own one of the REAL Dodge Chargers (a '73 SE with big block power that has been in my family since it was purchased new).

I look forward to interacting with people in here! -Jeff

Welcome Jeff!
Nice to have you join us.

I too am into musclecars, one of my fondest summers was spent helping my neighbor rebuild a 63 charger for drag racing when I was about 17, he was paralized so I would reach the things he couldn't and such....

See you around.
Capt. Chaos
Dave, are you sure it was a Charger?

The Charger wasn't produced until the 1966 model year.

Thanks for welcoming me aboard!

You are correct, it was a Challenger not a Charger. That was embarresing to mix those two up after claiming to be a gearhead. blink.gif

Thanks for the correction Capt.

Big Michigan welcome Capt., and far as staying tuned for the latest ''Bush blunder''... Don't blink cause you will miss it. I have a independent truck driving buddy who has been driving for over 20 years who tells me about the struggles that you all face, with the high price of fuel and all the other cost involved with your industry. Only makes me respesct you guys more.

Welcome! (The slant 6 in my Dodge Dart got me through 320,000 miles and was still running the day I had to abandon her...:-(

I'm Western Cherokee from my Father's side, and not sure what tribe "came in" on my Mother's side of the family which also has a lot of German & Irish ancestry.

A hello to Captain Chaos from Chaos at the Controls. It's a name I earned many years ago as an air "talent". smile.gif

I've a '73 Dodge Polara here, just a 2-bbl 360 but it gets out of its own way. 90,000 miles and goin' strong.
