I think Joe just nailed it on the head: 35 years in public office!
Isn't that a career politician?

I find it ironic that Joe likes to tout his 18 years in the senate as "experience," while he got Weicker out of the senate back in 1988 by saying that 18 years is too long for a senator.

Is it just me, or did Lieberman come out of the gates on an attack against Lamont? Lamont did a better job sticking to the issues.

Totally! First crack out of his mouth was that Lamont is misleading voters regarding Lieberman's record. Well, he obviously has little respect for the people of Connecticut if he thinks they can't look into his record all by themselves. What are you Connecticuters? Sheep? mad.gif
I'd be angry if I were you!

When I heard Joe say that he would have voted to go into Iraq today based on what we know now, I think I heard the distinct sound of the last nail going into his (political) coffin....

He always comes across as a spoiled brat that thinks that a seat in the senate is a birth-right to him.

Having called Joe's office numerous times and urged him in vain to vote on OUR side, rather than the Republican's, I'm not impressed with his claim to have voted with the Democrats 90% of the time. Many poor slobs who agree with us Democrats 90% of the time nevertheless vote for Conservative Republicans because they agree with them on the 10% of issues that really matter to them. Joe knows that he's going to lose the primary because he knows his constituents are fed up with him and finally have a good progressive Democratic opponent that they can vote for.

Who is more UNLIKE Democrats than Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, Michelle Malikin, Glenn Beck, etc., etc., These people aren't endorsing Lieberman because he a great Democrat. They love him because he's such a lousy Democrat that he almost as good as one of their own!

If you can talk to any Dems who are thinking of supporting Joe before the primary, please ask them to let the Democrats of our state decide whom they want to represent them, and tell them to come and help the Democrat to win against the Republican candidate, rather than helping Joe to win against the DEMOCRATIC candidate.

All incumbents are the same. They think they are entitled to get re-elected.
IMO Ed let both of them sidetrack a question but Lieberman thinks he is the only one who could represent Conn.
How's Dept. Homeland Security doing on Katrina? Rita? Border security? Anti-terrorist fund allocations?
Which was more important to America DHS oversight, labelling computer games or DRM for entertainment industry?

That's the ticket, Sen. Lieberman stand by your record for the current term.
