On yesterday's show, a caller was talking about how he was declaring his warning level at code green. He said he would just work in his garden and disregard all this terriorism nonsense. Ed asked him if he just had his garden or if he had friends. Ed then referred to some study about how 1 in 4 people have no confidante and are isolated. Does anyone remember what reference Ed cited for that study? I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me.

Thanks,

Dave

Here you go.

Nearly a quarter of people surveyed said they had "zero" close friends with whom to discuss personal matters. More than 50 percent named two or fewer confidants, most often immediate family members, the researchers said.

Plunderer,
thanks for the quote -- do you remember the cited source of the survey or was it just a general reference?

Did you read Plunderer's link.

huh.gif I'm glad you bring up this topic though. I notice there are more and more unattached looking people in stores and theaters. My once under utilized supermarket has exploded with unattached baby boomers and not for a pick up dates. Just my impression.
