How will you be able to afford to retire if your company or job doesn't furnish a retirement plan. The 401k plan is to iffy.
Your input.......

By the way, I'm not too sure of the rules here, but I'm a Leftie so if that make me a troll or something I'm sorry and I'll butt out.
The rules are pinned at the top of the forum. They really are easy to read and understand.

The title of this forum "CONSERVATIVES ONLY" might also give you the littlest bit of a hint.

Who gave you the 'right' to retire?
Moreover, if retirement is a right, I think you should let me retire now and you should pay to maintain my standard of living. If my standards are not met by your current income, it seems you will need to get another job or sell your things. It’s only fair. It's my right, right?

I have taken my retirement in to my own hands with investments. I'm 36 and by the time baby boomers get done with Social Security we will have nothing, even more so if the Dems take back over Congress and raid for there pork projects like they did before.
Thank God for suspending the marriage penalty tax we can set more to the side. Our household income is under 70,000 and our house payment does not allow us to itemize so the tax break has helped. Too bad the Dems want to take that away.

Paulzee65, you are easily going to afford to retire because you are going to stop complaining and start saving. You are going to live below your means... Cut up the credit cards... buy pre-owned vehicles with cash (YOUR OWN cash), exercise and eat right so you dont have prescription drug bills, live in a modest house you can afford, and give the maximum to your own personal IRA accounts. That social security check? Its mad money spoil your grandchildren with.
Life is not just about living... its about living SMART.
