Let's separate the concepts of anti-Semitism and anti-Colonialism.
Israel was explicitly founded as a Jewish state, and citizenship is
based on religion and blood kinship. They discriminate against other peoples while they call any one who objects 'racists'. Most Christians born in Bethlehem and Muslims born in Jerusalem have no voting rights over deciding if the settlements should go in or not, or any choice on the leaders that decided these things.

Israel is not a democracy. Palestinian terrorism is not random violence
directed against Israel or "the West," it is largely a response to
Israel's prolonged campaign to colonize Muslim- or Christian-owned
land.

The Israelis have been pros at torture, brutality, lying,
the "disappearing" of prisoners, and misinformation campaigns long before Bush Cheney or Rumsfeld had a go at it.

If we think, and see Israel as it really is, rein them in, the rest of the world may begin again to have some respect for us.

If Israel or the US bombs Iran we should protest. Some folks here are suggesting we occupy all the airports in the US in a peaceful demonstration. I don't know if that will work. We should write our congressmen and women in the strongest terms.

Citizenship in Israel is based on whether you're born there, regardless of whether you're Jew or not. How do you think Arabic population gets representation in their government? Maybe you should study up on the make up of the Israeli Knesset and the army - yes, non-Jews serve just like Jews do. Please stop confusing the law of return with the law of citizenship, that identifies you as an ignoramus at best.

Silver lining - your first paragraph is mostly false. The only true part is about Christians in Bethlehem not having a say in Israeli politics - since that's not part of Israel, but rather controlled by PA. The rest of the post is easily disproved by reading the charter of both PLO and Hamas.

You're probably right but Israel does discriminate against non-Israel born jews, and has a history of violence since the UN created Israel.

I'm disappointed with what Israel has become. After the 1967 war I hoped peace would be made in the region. Instead Israel seems to kick Palestinians then blame the Palestinians when they kick back.

The population of Israel is less than 7 million people on land smaller than NJ. The Israeli government could buy an island, border land between US and Mexico, land in Australia, Latin America, or Africa and rebuild far away from Mid-east Arab Muslims and Palestinians. That would stop anti-Israel strife in the Mid-east, give peace and safety to Israelis, bolster the economy and technology of neighboring countries. Israelis could take every brick, stone, steel, seed and Wailing Wall from every home, building, field or religious artifact with them.

Ask those who favor citizenship for illegal immigrants, 7 million Israelis moving should be nothing.
