I live in the disrtict Hastert represents. He's a lock-step radical righty, but he brings home the pork. I could do without him, but the reality is, it's his job for life.
Even Dems vote for him. To be honest, he has served this district well. Too bad he's a Republibot.

Living in the west suburbs I know of what you speak but remember Melissa Bean got the old alky Phil Crane our of his "seat for life" so anything is possible. I willl be supporting the Democratic candidate who wins the primary for Heny and his ever expanding Hyde's seat. Another Democratic win in the Western Suburbs will make the wrong wingers wet themselves. laugh.gif
