Well, I hope everyone has a good sense of humor because I found a candidate in the an unlikely location, Jeff Dunham's suitcase. Give it up for the next President of the United States, Walter!

Walter is great!!!

I saw Jeff Dunham last year, he is incredibly funny. He had us all dying laughing even BEFORE he took out the puppets...

Given a choice between Walter & Bush, I know I'd take the puppet (and I don't mean the one currently in the White House)...

Hell, I'd take Walter over Hillary or McCain too for that matter...

blink.gif I still say Obama....and what is happening now with Rev. Wright is pretty repulsive....Never have I ever seen that a candidate has to explain the words of the pastor of his church.....nobody ever questioned the pastor of George W. Bush, or the pastor of Hillary Rodham Clinton, or John McCain...however the reverend he chooses as his spiritual advisor has himself been controversial....but these candidates should not be held accountable for what their pastors say...nor should one candidate be held to a higher standard based on their faith...and their religious house of worship should not be put on trial for being controversial....Rev. Wright is not running for president.......and for those persons of the RW who want to pursue this sort of thing for political points...do so at their own risk I think.....one of them already has had to take back what he put out there in an op-ed.......

OBAMA-2008~!!!!!

Obama. Hillary represents the same old school politics that loves the lobbyists. She even defended these people who are the most destructive force and danger to our Democracy. Enough is enough.

Maybe Obama is full of it. He certainly is promising us the moon and stars and that in itself is also old school, but, he has energized the youngest voters on a scale I thought possible and that in itself is real positive change. He is not beholding to the lobbysits which is a very real change from old school and he seems genuine. Although we never really know what we will get until after an election, Obama really does inspire hope and this country really needs hope right now.

I hear a lot of Hillary supporters claim if Hillary does not get the nomination they will not vote for Obama and I hate to think this is true. No matter who gets the Dem nomination we cannot afford another Republican president under any circumstances. It will take a Dem Congress and a Dem President to reverse the damage done to this nation by the neocons and GW Bush.

Vote Obama and if that isn't possible, vote Democrat.

Thank you for resurrecting this thread, fustyruk! I'm sure that somewhere, back there, I registered a comment. It seems as if a million years have gone by since the beginning of the Democratic primary race. For many of us, our favorites have disappeared - Kucinich, Edwards, just to name two. We have shifted our allegiance out of necessity. I didn't start out as an Obama supporter, but I never was a Clinton supporter, for personal reasons that won't resonate with those who love her.
I don't seek their approval for a choice made via years of disappointment. I would have voted for pretty much any Democrat who had the temerity to thow a hat in the ring. Think of the truly great people who used to be running, but were forced to drop out because voters didn't recognize their names.
Aaah! And now it comes down to two. One I never had any intention of voting for and an upstart who looks better every day. What possible choice do I have? It boggles the mind....

Shouldn't this be changed to 'who do you want to be the VP for Obama in '08'?

Personally think it should be a governor or general, someone who has been either excellent at the job or someone who has a history of enacting substantive and meaningful reforms into our democracy and/or military. Someone unlike Joe Lieberman or other corrupt democrats which shall go un-named. Someone who can enhance Obama in a positive way.

blink.gif I always thought the VP candidate should complement while providing contrast to the candidate on the top of the ticket.

Shouldn't this thread be "unpinned" now?

I would like to see Barack Obama be the Democratic Candidate with Joe Biden as his running mate.

How did I do? biggrin.gif
