MHR: You neglected to add an EXCLAMATION POINT at the end of your last statement....

I am glad that you felt some excitement that day, but, sorry, I am not on THAT team...

Now for some stats:

Bush = 4.5% Unemployment
Obama = 9.7% Unemployment

Bush = $500 Billion deficit (AFTER EIGHT YEARS)
Obama = $1.7 TRILLION (with a "T") deficit AFTER EIGHT MONTHS

Anyway - HOW'S THAT HOPEY-CHANGEY thing going? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!

Now for some reality. The deficit was around 5 trillion when Bush took offfice and over 11 trillion when he left.

You have to count all the money he spent, not just the numbers on the budget.

"On the surface, selling arms to a country that sponsors terrorism, of course, clearly, you'd have to argue it's wrong, but it's the exception sometimes that proves the rule." - George Bush on Good Morning America.

11/11/82
"It would be a user fee" - President Reagan explaining why his proposed five-cent-a-gallon gasoline tax would not be a tax at all

10/21/88
"If I'm elected President, if I'm remembered for anything, it would be this: a complete and total ban on chemical weapons. Their destruction forever. That's my solemn mission." - George Bush, who cast several tie-breaking votes in the Senate to resume production of nerve gas.

“The very word 'secrecy' is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it. ”

Oh! No! Here we go again, gang!
We're all geared to cross swords with our favorite type of poster - the Hit-and-Run, Fly-by-Night.
Let's not get our dander up so quickly. Try smoking him out, you know: get him to tell us how he really feels. He's being too reticent. We've got to get him to be more forthcoming about his political views. So far, he's a real mystery....

"No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were; any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee." - John Donne

In my short time here, this is the strangest introduction I have seen. Wonder if he or she will return?

Two posts in about a month. Where's the debate?

Look again!
It's two posts in a year's time, not a month.

Cut and run comes to mind...

The one you were going to win? Too chicken to hang around and have a debate? Republican chickenhawk? Love to start fights but don't want to fight them?

Bush left after ruining our economy. We couldn't get rid of him soon enough. I wish he'd left on September 12, 2001 and maybe we wouldn't have half the problems we have today. Bush encouraged home ownership during his presidency, "The Ownership Society." Loans were made with nothing down, no proof of ability to repay the loan was necessary.

Lets not forget that damn'd war debt that was not listed on the books until the new administration took over things. dry.gif
