Kind of old news, and not surprising given the spending policies of this WH. The useful questions are: who's buying the debt and what arethey going to expect in return (China and a free pass on Taiwan are my guesses).

When I got inside I turned on Dobbs.....and it was one bad economic thing after another. Our ports are not big enough---no recent infra structure---to handle the HUGE amount of crap being imported off-loaded....the UAE will prob sell to the US P&O ops, yes there is a US P&O ops here. The amount of BILLIONS spent on trade to get all this crap floated here while it sits on docks waiting to be....off loaded and transported while no one can inventory, secure, transport it all....
I mean....It was enough to have a drink.

I would suggest "Buy American" to reduce the flow of imports.
Except that we've moved all the factories overseas.

You've got to realize...

The reported debt is not the only "debt."

Banks, loan companies, and credit card companies have been printing money for years and years and I don't think that domestic debt is actually figured into the National Debt figures...

There's going to come a point where if one man is late on his $50 Visa minimum payment, the whole system is going to come crashing down....

“It is a truism that almost any sect, cult, or religion will legislate its creed into law if it acquires the political power to do so, and will follow it by suppressing opposition, subverting all education to seize early the minds of the young, and by killing, locking up, or driving underground all heretics. This is equally true whether the faith is Communism or Holy-Rollerism; indeed it is the bounden duty of the faithful to do so. The custodians of the True Faith cannot logically admit tolerance of heresy to be a virtue.”

Doesn't Congress approve all govt spending? The WH presents a proposal and Congress pads the bejezuz out of it to ensure re-election. BTW, by far the largest portion of govt debt is held by Americans - what the Chinese can expect for the bonds they hold is interest payments, that's all.
